"Do you remember the archetype of Rock´n´Roll ?
That sweat dripping, peanut butter smearing, howling, insane and riotous bastard swearing to the devil that the young girls are screaming and giving their virginity for ?
PRIMA DONNA are one of those bastards, a band like D-GENERATION or the TRASH BRATS who were interpreting Punk in relation to it´s musical roots.
Naturally part of those roots is hanging around in the same junk filled streets as the NEW YORK DOLLS and breathing the same air of desperation as Johnny Thunders and his later solo work but PRIMA DONNA even take those basics further towards to the SAINTS smoking a joint with Chuck Berry to view Ian Hunter of MOTT THE HOOPLE hammering on the piano like a maniac while Iggy Pop is beating his head to a bloody pulp conducted by the air raid of his STOOGES and David Bowie staging “Ziggy Stardust” again."
